Hackers Help: Why does my ALGOT wire mesh basket not fit?

I am trying to install an ALGOT closet system inside my second bedroom closet and I am not sure if there is a problem with the product itself or I am missing something but the installation doesn’t seem to be secure and everything seems to be dangling and loose. So I have the bracket, pull out rails and mesh baskets and the wooden shelf. The brackets seem to be lose and so does the pull out rails. I am attaching some pictures .. please help!!

  1. Looks like the baskets have been put in sideways. The cutout is a handle to pull the basket out. The cutout doesn’t go on the sides.

  2. If you swap the basket that does not fit, with the basket below, that does fit, does the problem follow the basket, or stay with the bracket? If the problem follows the basket perhaps the basket is bent.

    If not, try swapping the left bracket that has the problem, with the left bracket below it that seems OK. Again, if the problem follows the bracket, perhaps the bracket is out of shape.
    If not, try the same with the right bracket.

    If you swap all of those things and the problem stays in the same place, perhaps the vertical rail is twisted – it might be a fault with the rail itself, or it could be that the wall isn’t straight, and when you tighten the rail to the wall it twists it out of line.

    If that’s the case you might be able to straighten it with a thin piece of wood, or a plastic packer (try googling for “Silverline 633499”, but there might be better/cheaper ones depending on where you live).

  3. This seems to be a common issue with algot rails when there is nothing on the other side to support them. If you look at a couple youtube videos it’s not just you. I’d try moving the baskets to where your shelves are so they are flush with that wall on the right and have the shelves on the open left side and see if there’s a difference. Personally, I like elfa’s better, but they are pricey.

  5. is the wall that you are installing it on straight or could it be that the drywall is warped due to a beam?
