sayani painted over her lack coffee table. definitely less boring but i would suggest losing the flowers though.

  1. I know this is a old post, but hopefully you get an email or something… I used acrylic paint on mine, and need to find a good sealant. What was the brand of sealant that you used?? Thanks!

    i understood you perfectly, no worries! 🙂

    i left the table as is and painted right over it, and it was fine, surprisingly enough!

  4. First of all, I’m not english, so excuse me if you don’t understand something 🙂

    How did you get rid of the sealant that the table had before you painted with the acrylic? I mean, the table has by default a sealant layer, no? So, what did you do? Just paint on top of it or scratch the sealant off?

  5. the paint i used was acrylic (you know the little plastic pots that come attached? i think they’re like $2 at the craft store) and then i used a sealant over it so it wouldn’t scratch off.

    and oh – the flowers aren’t usually there, i had just taken a picture of them before and since the table happened to be in it, that’s the pic i sent to jules..:)

  6. The flowers lessen the impact of the colorful squares, they’re messy-looking, and they’re just…well, a little sad. You could get rid of the two larger arrangements and just have the center one (is that an orchid? can’t tell from the pic), and that might be nicer.
