Materials: Molger mirror birch
The Molger Mirror comes in a lot of sizes. It has a 3 or 4 inch shelf or ledge going the whole way around the mirror.
We cut down the top and two sides, leaving just one shelf along the bottom. We used glass tiles on the shelf. These are readily available in sheets at home depot or Lowes. 4 rows fit perfectly. Then we put molding on the shelf, painted the whole thing out in white and added the brackets below which are both decorative and stabilize the shelf which will have lost strength when the sides were cut down.
