  2. @Andrea: This is really great! Can you explain how far you cut the foam matras? Am I correct in understanding that you literally cut it totally in half and just put the 2 halves together in the 1 removable cover?
    Is it comfortable to sit on?

  5. It really was that simple! I just cut one of the foam mattresses in half with a sharp knife and put the 2 pieces together so it was half the width but twice as deep.
    I then got some fabric and made it into removable covers so that it can easily be returned to its use as a bed.
    When the mattress it put together inside its zippy cover you wouldn’t even know it has been cut!

    1. Hey so I saw this and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. I bought the mattress but how do I go about making the fabric to turn it into a back piece?

    2. It’s not complicated. Hemnes daybed, foam twin mattress as seat, foam twin mattress cut in half as back, and some pillows. I’ve thought about doing the same for my office.
