IKEA GoPro STAM Time-lapse

Today we’ll be featuring a very special IKEA hack: one for GoPro owners. This hack will turn your STAM kitchen timer into a GoPro mount which lets you make some pretty nifty time lapse videos. Unfortunately the STAM kitchen timers have been replaced by digital ones, so this hack only works if you have an old version lying around.

Materials

1 x IKEA STAM Timer (old version as in picture)
1 x 3D Printed GoPro Mount (or download file here)
1 x GoPro
1 x GoPro Standard M5 Screw & GoPro Case (optionally 3D print it here)

How To

Print the files at a Hub in your neighbourhood or on your own printer.  Either PLA or ABS will be just fine. If you print it at home, make sure to print the mount with support to keep it from collapsing. Once printed, connect the mount to the case with your standard M5 screw and slide it (with some force) onto the kitchen timer. Now it’s time to make to make a cool time lapse video!
