I’ve found a couple of unused IKEA TERTIAL lamps that I bought some years ago, and I liked to reinvent them with a new design. So I thought to convert the traditional shape of the desk lamp into something less usual, removing the head and integrating a brand new LED downlight on it.
Materials:
TERTIAL lamp + Osram Tresol (or similar with 64.0 mm of mounting diameter)
1) Remove the bulb and the lamp head;
2) Remove the bulb holder;
3) Insert the downlight after recabling with the original wire.
And this is the final result!
