Fejka toothbrush holder | IKEA Hackers

This is pretty self-explanatory:

Tiny FEJKA fake plant. KARDAMUMMA pot optional.

Works even with wide toothbrushes. Cleans very easily.

  1. That’s a cute idea, would work even for make up brushes and the like while bring a spot of color to the bath! I think the plastic plant will be fine as long as water doesn’t pool in the bottom (maybe punch a drain in the bottom? Mold builds up when water sits and pools for a long time, most toothbrushes dry quickly. You could run the fake plant through a cleansing cycle every week with a bit of bleach and hot water and let it air dry upside down.

  2. Hi, @peter, this is an IKEA Lidan hanging organizer. I’m not sure they still sell it.

    @Stella – it’s really just a plastic plant in its own plastic pot and some cement. You can wash it as often as you want and nothing happens. Of course I’ve only had it for like 6 weeks, but it doesn’t look any ickier than when I first put it there as an emergency solution. I really hope you don’t turn out right :}

  4. It’s a bit unhygienic. Tootbrushes must dry as quickly and airedly as possible. That leafs are damped every day and will grow invisible mould. Your tootbrushes must not touch them daily.
