I’ve had these IKEA MOPPE drawers, tucked away for 20 years. I thought they may fit somewhere so I decided to spice them up again, instead of throw them away.
First, I spackled all the cracks and nonsense with putty.
Using a narrow brush, I painted the insides with red.
On the outside, I used a mini foam roller and painted all surfaces in gold. It was a very flat gold color as you can see so I distressed it down with dark brown stain and polished off the overflow.
Lastly, I used red screws to create a hold for gold charms as handles.
