Hey there!
How quickly November flew past. Part of me still can’t believe it’s already the last month of 2015, with Christmas just a blink away and 2016 peeking round the corner.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always spent December working furiously, playing catch up in order to check off my yearly goals. A last push. Needless to say, it’s always exhausting and by the time 31 Dec comes round, I just flop on my bed. Then hit reset and start all over again with the new year.
So I decided to take a different route this year. I am going on a holiday (wee!) and for the first time in my life — fingers crossed — will be having a white Christmas. (double weee!) Telling myself, hang in there, 8 more days and you’ll be on a jet plane.
No worries though. You’ll still get your IKEA hack fix. The daily posts are all scheduled and ready to go. In the meantime, let’s enjoy some of the best hacks on Instagram.
Hester hacks a beary nice IVAR bookcase! Click the blue button below to view video tutorial. @byhestergrams @mommodesign makes Christmas happen in the IKEA PS 2014 greenhouse Kim hacked the IKEA Grundtal drying rack so it pulls out on full-extension slides beneath the storage cabinet. Still a work in progress but it’s looking good so far. @whatkimdoes @bettijo shared how to make an oversized wall clock over @classyclutter. Click blue button for tutorial. @drjahmad made a toddler bunkbed from 1 Gulliver + 1 Ovre. From what I see, the kids love it. Deck the hall with BUMERANG hangers. Such an easy way to get the Christmas decor up. @jennyshusochhem A kitchen island from a SNIGLAR changing table, two cutting boards and some hinges. Well done! @withoutnosegirl Get the gift wrapping rolls under control with a VARIERA plastic bag dispenser. Useful idea from @lkfen1. @lizcockings + dad turned the MÖRKT lantern for tea lights into a cute side lamp. VÄRUM rugs, 8 hours and a gazillion staples later, @_emilygarces_ got herself a new stair carpet.
