IKEA items used: Kivik 1 seat section (x2)
I liked the “seat” of the Kivik, but it was too low, and I wanted arms. The original arms aren’t available for 1 seat sections, and they were way too low to begin with. I constructed wooden arms out of 2x6s, sanded with curved edges, stained and heavily polycarb’d. These are like mini couches, and the the arms are a good height. I wanted to get close to the width of the original arms available for that series. These arms also work well as a built in side table.
