The wall grid is the standout piece. It’s a wall-mounted wire panel with a bottom shelf — the kind of thing that looks like it belongs on a home organizer’s must-buy list.
It comes with 5 hooks, which are tested to hold up to 4 kg. Clicking the hooks into place also adds stability to the grid. I can see the rounded hooks becoming a hanging station for hats, scarves, headphones, whatever tends to pile up near your front door.
I also like IKEA’s thoughtful addition of spacers in the corners to keep the grid at a safe distance from the wall to prevent scratches and marks. Many cheaper wire grid systems lack this extra bit.
Looking at IKEA’s own product imagery, the intention is clear: wall grid mounted high, wall pocket sitting below it, shoe rack at floor level.
Stack them together, and you’ve got a complete entryway organisation setup that looks deliberately designed rather than thrown together.
2. GREJIG Wall Pocket
The wall pocket is more understated — a wire basket that mounts horizontally on the wall, open-fronted so you can see and grab what’s inside.
Mail, a dog lead, and sunscreen by the back door. It can also be used to store up to 3 pairs of shoes. The ideal kind of catch-all to keep surfaces clear.
It’s Not Only an Entryway Solution
