Materials: NYMÖ lampshade
I had just bought a white NYMÖ lampshade when I saw one made with thin layers of wood and wanted that one instead! Too expensive, though, so I tried to reproduce the effect by painting on the NYMÖ with a wood graining brush.
I added a a fabric medium and a glaze medium to a light brown shade of acrylic paint and covered the whole area with a flat brush. When dried, I added the same mediums to a darker shade of brown and painted one strip at a time, going over it with the wood graining brush.
There. Hacked!
