Materials: Ikea Tarva queen bed
The four legs were exchanged against four long legs of same width (42*42mm). The old legs were used to drill the holes in the new legs at exactly the same place (no new screws needed). Four top bits of 42*18mm added (attached with new screws in the top). Bed was stained twice with walnut colour. Wood and stain from Bunnings ca $100, we spent about 20 hours on this project (main time spent was on staining though). Extremely simple and cheap, and looks awesome!
