Three Danish Architecture Firms hack the IKEA kitchen

See! This is what happens when you let loose a bunch of designers on IKEA. They make you want to redo your kitchen. Like. Right. Now.

Reform, a new Denmark-based furniture company collaborated with leading firms Bjakre Ingels Group (BIG), Henning Larson Architects, and Norm Architects to create what I’d call high-end hacks to flesh out the skeleton of the trusty IKEA METOD kitchens. They offer snazzier fronts and table tops, which in itself is not a new idea. (Hello! Semihandmade) The customized kitchens are now on showcase at northmodern from August 13–15 2015.

Let’s take a look.
