Over at Kelli’s blog, she documents her build on a sit and stand up desk. The post is from a few years back but it is still so very awesome.
She uses the AKURUM range as the basic building blocks and laid 16′ of white solid surface acrylic kitchen countertop on top of them. The sit/stand movement is controlled by a linear actuator attached to a rocker switch. This is probably the classiest IKEA sit/ stand desk hack I’ve seen.
Jules Yap started IKEAHackers.net in 2006 as a personal blog to showcase the most impressive IKEA hacks from all over the world. Since then, she has learned a lot more about power tools and DIY. Her site has helped thousands modify IKEA furniture with step-by-step tutorials, craft projects and home styling.
