$30 IKEA Challenge: My Festive Fall Home Decor Vignette

I love decorating for the seasons, but I don’t love spending a fortune on it. So, I set myself a challenge: could I pull together a festive fall vignette for just $30 at IKEA?

The answer is yes!

And the results are cozier (and cuter) than I expected. With a few smart picks and a little styling, I turned a handful of budget finds into a centerpiece that instantly makes my space feel like autumn.

Beautiful Fall Home Decor for Under $30

Thank goodness the IKEA 2025 HÖSTAGILLE range is brimming with stylish, high-impact pieces focused on fall.

They make it easy to fill your home with a vibrant, inviting coziness that doesn’t drain your wallet.

The trick is to pick a few high-impact pieces and style them together with intention. Here’s how I pulled together my fall vignette for under $30.

1. Scented Candle in Pumpkin Glass

Price: $4.99

This precious candle features a spiced pumpkin scent and comes in a brown glass holder. It’s the perfect way to evoke feelings of fall. Plus, with 20 hours of burn time, you can enjoy it for many cozy moments to come.

2. Brown Vase

Price: $4.99

Use this cute glass vase to add some floral flair to your fall vignette. It stands 8 ¼” tall and is great for short-stemmed flowers, your favorite bouquet, or a single bloom. The brown glass toward the bottom of the vase adds visual interest and also masks unsightly stems.

3. Candle Holder Assortment

Price: $2.99

This collection of three small candle holders comes in brown, blue, and clear glass. They’re ideal for tealights. The glass creates extra sparkle as the flame flickers, and the color scheme adds an elegant edge to your fall decor.

4. Pack of Tealights

Price: $1.49

Creating an effective vignette is largely about the visual, but great design considers all of the senses. Fill your home with the scent of freshly baked apple pie that stirs up your favorite fall memories using these tealights. You get 12 orange candles in a pack, each showcasing a pleasant apple and vanilla aroma.

5. Artificial Bouquet in Fall Colors

Price: $6.99

The vibrant colors and different shapes in this autumn bouquet provide warmth and texture to your design. Plus, at 23 ½” inches tall, it brings more height to the vignette, creating levels that keep things interesting. And since they’re artificial, you don’t have to fret if you lack a green thumb.

6. Rose-Gold Candle Dish

Price: $6.99

The metallic finish of this candle dish is an excellent base for glittering tealights and other candles. The reflective surface creates a twinkling, magical glow that’s cozy and inviting. The tray is also a great base for gathering a collection of objects that you want to use in a display.

Pull This Look Together For Fall

fall decorating ideas - how to create a fall vignette on a budget

To use these pieces in your fall vignette, place the artificial bouquet into the vase and place the vase on the candle dish. Position the vase toward one end of the tray.

Put a tealight into each of the small candle holders and stagger them on the empty part of the tray. Finally, position the pumpkin bowl between the two small candle holders on the opposite end from the vase. Leave the lid on the pumpkin bowl and use it as decor instead of lighting the candle.

When creating a vignette, aim to use different levels and bring pieces together in a way that makes sense. In this case, the items share a similar color story and theme (autumn) and are grouped on one tray. The dish also makes it easy to move multiple objects if you need to relocate your display or dust underneath it.
