Materials: Mandal

Description: For my single room flat, I was looking for a nice and beautiful way to part my room into a living area and a sleeping area. Having guests, sitting for a chat at the sofa, without seeing my bed was very important. Now I have the perfect partition, space for decoration and not congested. Use Mandal for a great divider.

  1. molt més barat que tenir un contractista posat en una paret desmuntable. crec que és excel·lent. Encara no acabo d’entendre com l’has assegurat… per què no cau?

    – how you secured the wall to ceiling and floor
    – how has it held up, has it fallen?
    – what other materials have you purchased
    – how did you secure mandel on to wooden beams

  5. much cheaper than having a contracter put in a removeable wall. i think it is excellant. i still don’t quite understand how you have secured it…why it does not fall over? but i am tired. i will read it again tomorrow 😉 thanks so much for posting 😉

  6. That’s true, was not that cheap, however, it makes 2 “rooms” out of one, without loosing the spacious feeling! I used 3 pieces and each comes with 6 shelves, so there is also nice space to store little smal things such as books or dvds. I like it and the money was worth it! 🙂

  9. Looks really cool, but also pretty expensive. You’ll probably need to stack 3 or 4 (depending on the size of your room/bed) and with a price tag of €129 a piece this goes a bit too high ;).

  10. And did you buy extra shelves or did that many come with however many mandals you bought? I like the idea of using the mandal for another purpose, but would probably want extra shelves. If you got extras or rigged something else to work, I’d love to hear more about that. Looks great! Thanks for sharing!

  11. Nice and stylish!! I’d love to do this in my one room flat. Did you use several Mandal and put them together? I can only find “Mandal bed gable” and it’s only 62 cm in length, and your room divider looks at least 2-3 meters?
