Happy Saturday and hope your weekend is off to a great start. It’s time for October’s best IKEA hacks from Instagram.
If you need a jolt of inspo, head on over to Instagram, follow some of these amazing bloggers and DIYers and you will be brimming with ideas in no time. I kid you not.
The two RAST makeovers are so clever. Erin @nestforless used gemstones to embellish her coral pink RAST, while Lauren @homerehabs created “overlays” from PVC pipes. Also loving the vertical garden and of course, the Captain! Let’s take a look.
Captain America in the house! @_theaquahouse made the IKEA KNODD garbage bin lid into the almighty shield. Click photo to see tutorial. @frausilke124 takes the plain KASSETT boxes and embellish them with wrapping paper. Place them sandwiched between 2 LACK shelves as entryway storage. The ZX Flux wall by @ridaz650 using a row of RIBBA picture ledges. Super simple update! @lilspag added brass trunk hardware to all the corners of the (sadly discontinued) IKEA EXPEDIT single cubes. Awwww… when I look at this FADO lamp that @hus47 painted, I feel all warm and cuddly inside and ready to zzzzzzz… Some stencilling fun by @alleinenadalkhalifa on the RUNNEN floor decking. @homerehabs’ clever use of plumbing fixture (that’s PVC pipe, people!) on the RAST dresser. @mumlittleloves’ quartzite/IKEA kitchen cabinets combo totally rocks. @bedheaddesigns saws the TROLLSTA table into 2 to make a pair of nightstands. Genius! Sprinkle gold onto the base of the SVALKA for glamorous champagne glasses. @quincy134’s stylo ironing table. No, not your grandmother’s ironing table. @zuraahmad handpaints the IKEA KARDEMUMMA pots with acrylic paint, inspired by OZ decor IGs. The CathKidston embellishment on the TERJE chair is such a unexpected but awesome touch! Does anyone remember Serpentine? @nakrissimo Things are a blooming @hayleigh_bree’s vertical garden, hacked from BYGEL rails and FINTORP flatware caddies. Erin @nestforless hacks a pretty RAST. Love the gemstone details. Click photo for link to tutorial.
