linnmon wall mounted

I bought a Linnmon table from IKEA and it’s pretty wobbly! How can I fix it?
Also, is there any way to wall mount it so it can support weight for a gaming setup?

  1. 5 years late to the party …but I’m thinking of doing the same thing at the moment.
    Can you let me know if the linnmon stayed secured? Just conscious it appears to be Hallow and whether it can hold the screws for a long period.

  2. I was thinking about a wall-hung desk myself. I’d forget about using Ikea brackets for this purpose. Get something like the “Everbilt 18 in. x 16 in. White Heavy Duty Shelf Bracket” from Home Depot, which they list as supporting 1200 pounds per pair — I am sure is more than the Ikea tabletop will support! You probably need a bracket in the middle as well as at the ends to prevent the tabletop from sagging under a heavy load. Screw them into the wall studs (longer screws are better!). Also screw the brackets into the underside of the tabletop.

  4. I actually just did this! I used the EKBY STÖDIS brackets, each screwed into a stud. My choice was because they can hold up to 33lbs each and my building’s studs are 18″ apart so more than adequate. If you want I can take a few pictures of the setup so you can see what I did.
