2 Burning Questions you wanted answers to in 2021

I get a lot of questions on IKEAHackers — ranging from what’s the name of an IKEA item to room ideas and how to hack this and that.

My hope is that I can help with all of the questions. But I’d be the first to admit that I don’t have hands on experience with every IKEA item and some questions are beyond my scope. That’s why we have a Facebook group because many heads are better than just mine.

That said, do keep your questions coming and I’ll try my best to help.

Looking back at 2021, these two questions were the ones that got the most eyeballs. If you’re wondering the same thing, I hope the Q&A will shed some light.

This question came from Helena who was gifted a king-sized bed. She loved the mattress but it would take up 70% of the space.

She wanted to know whether it was possible to hack the STORÅ frame to accommodate a king or elevate the TARVA king size bed frame into a loft bed.

I came up with 2 different options for her.

And gave her plenty to think about. Read the entire the Q&A here.

This is definitely a question, judging by the number of websites and videos that address this problem.

If you’re unfamiliar with the IVAR gap, it is annoying gap between the two doors that seem impossible to reduce, no matter how you tweak the hinge adjustments.
